SAVING MY GOD is a high-concept, culturally immersive "Afrobeats-Noir" thriller designed as a "concentrated espresso shot" of storytelling, bridging the chaotic energy of Lagos with the neon-lit shadows of London.

The Ticking Clock
Driven by a supernatural family curse that claims the life of every male before their 40th birthday, 39-year-old Nigerian shopkeeper Paul Okobo flees Lagos for London. Before his departure, he receives a sacred deity statue from a powerful shaman; this "god" is his literal lifeline, requiring specific rituals to ensure his survival and prosperity.

Descent into the Underworld
The "London Dream" evaporates immediately upon arrival. Paul is ambushed at Woolwich Station by a local gang—Dean, Abdi, and Sean—who steal his luggage containing the sacred artifact. Stripped of his identity and spiritual protection, Paul transitions from a respected "Big Boy" to a "rugged" survivor navigating the harsh reality of the "Japa" (emigrant) syndrome.
The narrative shifts when the gang sells the statue to Mr. Dates, a ruthless crime lord and collector of stolen treasures. To reclaim his "god" and break the curse, Paul is forced into a volatile partnership with the very thieves who robbed him, utilizing his unique skill set to infiltrate Mr. Dates’ high-security fortress.

The Shattered Truth
During a chaotic raid on the crime lord's yard, Paul reclaims his statue but faces a series of crushing betrayals. The ultimate blow comes not from the underworld, but from his personal life: he discovers his girlfriend, Aduke—his primary motivation for securing a lineage—is withholding a secret that changes everything.

The New Guardian
Broken and disillusioned, Paul realizes that while the statue saved him from physical death, his old life is gone. The story concludes with a supernatural twist as the "god" finds a new host in the heart of London.
To save his life, he must save his god.
